Hartford Bonanza celebrates Connecticut’s and Hartford's monumental contributions to American culture and the American music canon over the decades. Enjoy this presentation from the archives of the inspiration behind our headlining America 250 Connecticut Commemorative Concert at Hartford Bonanza 2026 on the Fourth of July--America's 250th birthday. The commemorative concert was curated by legendary Doug Wimbish and performed by the Hartford Symphony Orchestra, Hartford Chorale, and many special guests from the WimBash series' multigenerational, musical network.

Thank you to iconic photographers Maurice D. Robertson & Andy Hart, the collection of the Connecticut Museum of Culture & History and the Hip Hop Collection at the Hartford History Center at the Hartford Public Library for their contributions to this project.
